Southern Union State Community College Technical Division

Southern Union College invites candidates to apply for part-time faculty and/or lab assistant positions available for morning, afternoon, and evening classes.  Technical Division classes are held at the Opelika campus.

Qualified applicants for the part-time faculty positions listed below must have specialized coursework equivalent to the community or technical college program, a minimum of three years documented in-field work experience and appropriate licensure or certification when required by program.

*Qualified applicants for part-time faculty positions in Child Development must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Family and Consumer Science-Child Development concentration or Early Childhood Education with 18 graduate semester or 27 graduate quarter hours in early childhood education. Child Development classes may be held at all three campuses—Opelika, Valley, and Wadley.

Qualified applicants for part-time lab assistant positions must hold a high school diploma or GED and have demonstrated in-field technical skill that exceeds that of the students to be assisted.
