The Financial Aid Office offers information and services to assist in financing the cost of your education. Financial Aid Advisors are available to meet with you concerning your options. Financial assistance available through our office includes federal aid - grants, loans and work-study; as well as scholarship opportunities.

A student must be accepted for admission to Southern Union before financial awards can be determined. The student’s financial aid file must be complete prior to early registration in order to insure no delays in receiving financial assistance for which the student is eligible.

Applicants for financial assistance must complete and submit the following:

  • High School, GED and all previous college transcripts
  • Apply for the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). Students applying for Federal aid (PELL/ FSEOG/ Work Study) and/or state aid (ASAP) must renew their FAFSA each year.
