CPR certification at the Health Care Provider level through the American Heart Association is typically offered twice each month on the Opelika Campus as continuing education credit. To complete CPR certification, you must first complete the AHA BLS for the Healthcare Provider (Heartcode) Part 1 online and then schedule a check-off session at Southern Union. Links to instructions on how to complete the Online Part 1, as well as dates for the check-off sessions are below. You must complete the Check-Off session within 60 days of completing the Online Part 1 Portion.
You must bring your Part 1 Certificate of Completion to the check-off session. Please make sure you are registered for the session at least 7 days in advance of your check-off date.
If you do not pass your Check-Off Session, it will be suggested that you sign up for the next check-off session by filling out another registration form, paying another $24 and turning in your form at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled date. You will not have to complete the $28.50 online portion again as long as your check-off session is completed successfully within 60 days of the date on the online Part 1 Certificate of Completion.
