Thank you for your interest in the nursing programs at Southern Union State Community College. The Associate Degree Nursing (RN) programs are offered on the Opelika Campus. The Practical Nursing program is offered on the Wadley Campus.
Students must apply and be accepted into the professional phase of the nursing program. Applicants to the nursing program must meet academic requirements and then apply for admission to the particular program no later than the published deadline. Students are required to attend a Health Sciences Information Session prior to application to the program to familiarize prospective applicants with the admission criteria and acceptance process.
The Associate Degree Nursing Program (RN) admits students two times per year for fall and spring semesters on the Opelika Campus.
Practical Nursing students are admitted one time each year on the Wadley Campus for the summer semester.
The LPN to RN Mobility and Paramedic to RN Mobility students are admitted one time each year in the spring semester. The LPN to RN Mobility Track II students are admitted one time each year in the fall semester.
Nursing Assistant courses are held on either the Valley, Wadley or Opelika Campus each semester as needed.
