The Automotive Service Technology program is designed to prepare individuals for employment in the automotive service industry. Students completing the program can pursue careers as automotive service technicians, service advisors, parts salespersons, or automobile specialists.
The program emphasizes a combination of automotive mechanics theory and practical application necessary for successful entry level employment. Instructional opportunities enable students to develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills which are necessary to keep abreast of the changing technology in the automotive field. The program helps prepare students for the nationally recognized industry credentials for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
