The Opelika library is located next to the Higginbotham Academic Center (HAC).
The Opelika library opened in January 1995 and reopened in March, 2019 from a renovation project. The new 10,000 square foot design facility has a seating capacity of 100 and shelving space for over 30,000 volumes and houses more than 15,000 titles. The library also houses materials to support technical programs along with various resources to support the array of programs offered in the academic and health sciences departments.
There are a number of open computers available to students for research purposes as well as two student study rooms for individual or small group use. Color along with black and white printing is accessible at a cost of 25 cents (color) or 10 cents (B/W) per page.
A separate computer lab is available in the library for instruction and meeting room usage. Free WIFI connections are accessible to students needing to connect their personal computers to the internet.
The staff includes a librarian, one library technician and a part-time library assistant.
