Dual Enrollment

Why Choose Dual Enrollment at Southern Union?

Southern Union offers dual enrollment opportunities for high school students on their own high school campus or on any SUSCC campus.  Dual enrollment credit means that the course you take through the college will count towards credits for your high school diploma as well as college credit for your future college degree.  If you are interested, discuss your plans with your high school counselor to determine what is the best solution for your needs.

We are excited to announce that Summer 2026 Dual Enrollment registration opened on April 13, 2026! Through Southern Union’s Dual Enrollment Institutional Scholarship/Waiver, eligible students can take up to two (2) college courses with $0 tuition this summer.

No separate application is required! Students simply need to register, and the tuition waiver will be applied (up to two courses).

Important Information:
While tuition is covered, please note:

  • Students are responsible for out-of-pocket costs, including:
ACCS Enhancement Fee, Reserve Fee and Course-specific fees
       Books and instructional materials
       Supplies and additional program costs
  • These expenses are not included in the tuition waiver unless covered by another funding source
