Southern Union State Community College offers a short-term General Education Certificate designed to assist students in developing an academic foundation for the Associate in Science Degree or transfer to a four-year college or university before degree attainment.
The certificate provides an opportunity for students to enter the workforce immediately with improved or acquired written and oral communication skills, critical thinking, cultural and social understanding., and overall knowledge in order to be more competitive in the workforce. The short-term certificate signifies the student has earned 29 hours of general education requirements.
This certificate may be earned fully online by completing the options available in each area that are taught online.
